The gifts were worth VND80 million, contributed by Cong An Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh and organizations like AAA Assurance Corporation, the V.W Saigon Club, the trade union of the HCMC Tax Bureau, the Minh Nhat Law Office and District 11-based Vinatex Mart.
On January 22, the delegation visited and presented gifts to poor families in Ba Chuc Town, Tri Ton District, An Giang Province.

A 67-year-old woman Le Kim Truyen said after receiving the voucher from the local government, she was happy and waited until the morning to receive gift.
Ms. Yen Linh, Deputy director of AAA Assurance’s branch in An Giang, said every year, AAA Assurance in collaboration with Cong An Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh newspaper present gifts to poor families. This is a meaningful activity of AAA Assurance on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet).

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation arrived in Lac Quoi Commune to hand over 150 gifts for local residents.
On behalf of the local government, Mr. Tran Hoang An, Vice Chairman of Lac Quoi Commune People’s Committee, thanked the delegation’s care for people living in remote areas.

On January 23, the delegation went to Ha Tien Town in Kien Giang Province to give presents to poor people in Phao Dai Ward, and My Duc and Tien Hai communes.
The next day, they visited and handed over gifts and VND6 million for a school in Tan Dien Hamlet, My Long Commune, Hon Dat District, Kien Giang Province, which is raising and teaching 144 deaf-and-dumb and disabled pupils. The gifts and money were donated by members of the V.W Saigon Club and Vinatex Mart.
