Mr.Le Toan: “2010 – Year of efficiency and quality” Print E-mail

In 2009,  AAA Assurance Corporation earned a total revenue of VND337 billion. The AAA Assurance brand has won the confidence of customers and increased its prestige on the market.

Early this year, AAA Assurance announced the company’s restructuring strategy in line with the global integration trend. Mr. Le Toan, member of the Board of Directors and head of the company’s Restructuring Board, shares information on the strategy.

The year 2009 ended and the new year is coming, would you like to tell us about AAA Assurance’s operation results during the road of overcoming the global economic crisis?
Mr. Le Toan
:  In 2009, the economy of Vietnam in general, and the insurance market in particular did not perform very well. With great efforts of nearly 1,000 employees and the management board, AAA Assurance is satisfied with the revenue of VND337 billion. This is a “quality” number and meets the Board of Directors’ expectation for the 2005-2009 period. Our company has excellently fulfilled its targets and the trading result of 2009 will be an important transitional year of the company’s next development plan.

Despite of being very busy in the last days of the year, the Restructuring Board visited and surveyed the real operations of each region and each branch. How is the results of the trip?

The trip aimed to check and evaluate the implementation of the company’s regulations in preparation for the rearrangement of the company’s personnel apparatus to each unit and each staff. To realize this target, we spent nearly VND200 billion to build Premia, which is considered as the most modern software now, although 2009 was a difficult year. From January 1st  2010, this software has been widely applied on the company’s entire network. This is a big and important event because the software will assist AAA Assurance manage activities related to finance, human resources and adjustment of loss, and especially it will act as an efficient online sale channel. Through this trip, we want to say that each employee must be aware of his/her role for each job believed and assigned by the company. It means each employee must have the responsibility of keeping the AAA Assurance brand through his/her work. Employees must know what the company wants and what they can do for the company. In 2010, we will assign right employees to right work and employees will be compensated income depending on their work ability. This initial orientation has received agreement from most employees at branches the Restructuring Board visited and worked. This is a good signal and encourages us to try more in the management work.

Could you tell more about the evaluation of staffs’ ability by time?
We will evaluate the work efficiency of staffs every month and those fail to complete the tasks assigned by the Management Board will be criticized, warned or imposed stronger sanctions. Meanwhile, employees that well complete the sales norm will be awarded at the end of the quarter.

2010 will be a year of efficiency and quality of AAA Assurance Corporation. Could you talk more about this?
Our top priority target for the 2010–2015 period is the quality of products and services. So, we do not set ambitious target on revenue – meeting half of the 2009 figure is okayed. We will prioritize building human resource management software based on the “Few staff, higher work efficiency” motto. When the software is put into operation, it will help our company fulfill the aims of increasing sales, improving work efficiency and bringing more benefits for the company.
